MANALI TO PADAM over SHINGOLA ZANSKAR

1st Day Drive from Manali to Zispa/ Darcha (3,360 m)
Across Rohtang pass (3,980 m) which is the gateway to Lahaul, Spiti, and Pangi & Zanskar Valleys. Eight hours drive through Lahaul Valley.

2nd Day Darcha to Chhalang Topko (3,580 m)
Through two villages on the way -5 hours walk.

3rd Day: Chhalang Topko – Zanskar Sumdo – Ramjak (3,750 m) 6 hour Walk

4th Day: Trek to Chhumikanakpo (4,060 m) 6 hour.

5th Day: To Lakong across Shingo La pass (5,100 m) 8 hours walk.

6th Day: Kargyak to (4,060 m)
The first village of Zanskar region.

7th Day: From Kargyak to Kuru/Teta (3,950 m)
A land of Gompas.

8th Day: Trek to Kalbok Purne (3,700 m)
Here one can visit Fuktal monastery built under a huge Cave.

9th Day: Trek to Mone to Padam (3,560 m)
Sub divisional Head quarter of Kargil District of Jammu & Kashmir. Visit Bardan Gompas 
One of the oldest Gompas in the region.
