Katra

Katra or Katra Vaishno Devi as it is popularly called is a small town in the hilly northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is 2,473 ft above the sea level and is 50 Km away from Jammu. The town serves as the base camp for visiting the famous Ma Vaishno Devi Shrine, which is 13 Km uphill from Katra. Situated in the foothills of Trikuta Mountains, Katra is visited by more than 6.2 million devotees each year.

The town has a number of souvenir shops and the local market is filled with stalls selling dry fruits, prashad and other items offered to Maa Vaishno Devi. There is a state handicraft emporium close to the bus stand where you can check out shawls and other woollen items. A number of vegetarian restaurants and food outlets have mushroomed in the close vicinity.

Devi Shrine Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra

Board your helicopter from Katra on the foothills and the flight will
drop you just about a stone's throw away from the shrine of Mata Vaishno

We provides you a comfortable journey & darshan of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi,
which otherwise would be a tedious walk of 4 Hrs to 8 Hrs depending on the
age & health of the pilgrim.


(A) The flights operate EVERYDAY.

(B) Flight Timings are- 8.30 A.M to 5 P.M. The flight from Katra to
Vaishnodevi takes a total of 08 minutes.

(C) 5-6 passengers can be accommodated in one flight. There are about 100
return flights per day.

(D) Five days gap is mandatory to block the heli-tickets in advance ahead of the date of visit.

(E) Pre- ponement or post ponement of heli tickets once booked online is not permissible but with the prior concent of the helipad authorities.

In case of cancellation ; By the party;

(i) From 24 hrs to 48 hrs; Rs. 500. will be deducted from the total basic fare;

(ii) Less than 24 hrs ; 50% will be deducted from the total basic fare;

(iii) Less than 01 hrs ; No show - No refund.

In case of cancellation ; By the helipad Authorities ;

(i) Due to weather conditions or technical fault ; Full refund of total basic fare.


PRICE STRUCTURE

A) Katra-Sanjichhat or Sanjichhat-Katra (one-way helicopter flight): Rs. 1,400 (Rs. 1225 + Processing & Service Charges @ 12.5%) per person for One Way.

(B) Katra-Sanjichhat-Katra (return helicopter flight): Rs. 2,800/- per
person. The pilgrim on production of the return boarding pass gets priority
darshan at the Shrine.
